And just when you thought you’d never see a comic on here again (click the thumbnail, yo!):
I think that last panel is the best thing I’ve ever drawn. Ever.
P.S. Yes, that is Amed. If I decide to do more future “Girls Don’t Poop” comics, I’ll try to include Julius and James — the other two-thirds of the “Girls Don’t Poop” Trifecta of Ridiculousness.

There are so many songs and bands connected to Gainesville (ROCK CITY!!). In fact, I think some of my favorite songs are about that city. Funny how that works out.
Anyway. Art stuff. Right.

(clickclickclick)
One of my first projects for my art class. Spent like 10 hours in the RISD nature lab. Actual size of the drawn beetle is approximately 10″. Maybe I’ll put up a finished product later.

And then for teh lulz.

First art class in three years, w00t!
One of our assignments is to draw something everyday. This was supposed to be for yesterday, but eh. Here’s one:

Obviously not my hand. I’d kill for my hand to be half as veiny. Vein-y, sinewy hands are the best. So entertaining, really.

A face-and-a-half for you today.

Gross. Grossgrossgross.
If you want to know what this face is supposed to look like, move the eyes farther apart a little, move the eyebrows up, move the nose down and fix the lips (I’m not even sure what the hell’s going on down there). I think the only part I did remotely right was the hair. And the shading between the eyebrows is a little weird, but that’s not me; that was the picture.
Again, this boy was a little dirty, so some of the gradients were lost on his face.
The picture this is based on is something I’ve taken a shining to, so expect another attempt at him some other time.

I messed this up, but luckily, I stopped while I was ahead. Haha, because it still looks good, I won’t tell you where I botched this one. :X

I liked the tree. I drew it while sitting on a sharp rock under a sweltering sun on the side of a mountain (w00t, prepositional phrasesss!).
So sue me if it’s not great looking, okay.

The face of poverty. 40-minute sketch, while I was in the library.
More of a facial exercise than anything else. If you’re wondering about the funky shading, the man’s face was covered in dirt, so certain highlights and easier gradients are missed.
If you haven’t noticed, a lot of the titles for my entries are lyrics or song titles.
This particular one deserves the notice of everyone in the freaking world, so here it is:
“Johnny Appleseed” by Joe Strummer & the Mescaleros
Joe Strummer? you say.
Why yes! I reply cheerfully. Mr. Strummer from the Clash!
What’s he doing still making music? you ask incredulously.
YOU’RE DUMB AND I HATE YOU! I shriek as I kick you and run away crying.
End of exchange.

I’ve been thinking a little about the things I like to draw. Came up with this list.
- clouds
- faces
- animals: fish
- clothes with lots of folds, ruffles
- trees
- patterns
- “ugly” things
- anything that involves swirls, curls
- organic shapes
Eh. I’m sure there’s stuff I’m missing, but that’s the general breakdown.

Not done yet; I need to finish the forehead and lower-left.
Hi, my name is Tricia. I like to stare at faces (and save them mentally for later) so I can draw them.
